Navigating the Tender Noticeboard

A quick guide to navigating the Tender Noticeboard

4 min read

The tender Noticeboard is where we show all projects that have been listed publicly on E1. It’s the place to go to find new work, and updated project information when the awarded builder is known.

Projects are loaded by tendering builders, and the Noticeboard will default to showing all available publicly listed projects.

You can watch a short video on how to use the Noticeboard below:

Searching the Noticeboard

There are several ways to look for projects on E1, and you may use a combination of these methods.

  1. Use the Search Bar to look for project by:
    • Project Name
    • Project ID
    • Address
    • Brand or
    • Product

  1. Use Filters to narrow down projects by:
    • Budget - this is a range of the total project value, not your trade’s component
    • Trade - you can select multiple options here, for example, if you perform Electrical Services, you may also select CCTV and/or Audiovisual trades
    • Location - the default is a national view. Select one or multiple states here, or a set kilometre radius from your office location
    • Category - we will automatically show all projects, less is more when it comes to filtering here as builders can only nominate one category on a project
    • Interest Level (either Interested, Quoting, Quoted or Not Interested as nominated when adding a project to your Watchlist)

  1. Use the More Filters button to access filtering by:
    • Time frame of when the project was added to E1 (Added Within)
    • Time frame of when quotes are due (Quotes Due Within)
    • Only projects that currently have documents available

  1. Click the Contains a keyword box to only show projects where there is a Speci-Finder keyword match
  1. The Recent Searches option will show a dropdown list of the 5 most recent searches made on the Noticeboard
  1. The Map view allows you to view projects by geographical location

Noticeboard status tabs

The Noticeboard is separated by project status - open, awarded and closed.

  • Open - Projects in the Open tab are those that are currently in the tender phase, and the quote due date has not yet passed. There will be one or more builders actively seeking quotes from required trades on these projects.
  • Awarded - Projects in the Awarded tab have been awarded to a builder, and the builder has updated the awarded status on the project. You can identify the awarded builder by the badge icon next to their details on the project slider:
    • It’s the responsibility of the builder who won the job to update this status.
    • If the project has closed and you need to know the outcome, we recommend contacting the tendering builders directly to request an update on the status.
  • Closed - Projects in the Closed tab have passed the quote due date, but the outcome of the tender is not yet known, or the winning builder has not yet updated the status to awarded.
    • As noted above, if the project has closed and you need to know the outcome, we recommend contacting the tendering builders directly to request an update on the status.

Noticeboard top tips

Previewing search results

Search results have a preview feature, so you can see a snippet of the match found in the project documents.

Use the expansion arrow next to the search term match to check this before using credits or viewing/downloading documents for a quick qualification.

Previewing Speci-Finder keyword matches

If you have Speci-Finder keywords set up, you can quickly preview any result matches from within the project slider, saving you time when qualifying opportunities.

You’ll find the preview function in the documents section. Click to see a list of all matches in the document sets.

Bookmarking projects with the Watchlist

You can quickly add projects to your Watchlist straight from the Noticeboard or from within the project slider, and use the Interest level filter to filter by chosen Watchlist label.

Adding to the Watchlist from the Noticeboard:

Accessing project documents

When you've found a project that interests you, click on the project name to view the project details:

You can access the project documents under the Builders & Documents section of the project details.

We recommend clicking the Package dropdown and selecting the package specific to your trade rather than the Full Set to hone in on the most suitable documents.

💡
TOP TIP viewing or downloading available documents from all tendering builders alerts a builder to your interest in the project, and is a good way to put your business on the builder’s radar.
